To ask the First Minister and deputy First Minister for an update on work being undertaken to re-establish the Northern Ireland Strategic Migration Partnership.

Since the Northern Ireland Strategic Migration Partnership (NISMP) ceased to function, the Executive Office (TEO) has been working with Home Office to cover some of the NISMP functions. TEO has now agreed to formally take on some of these functions which focus primarily on communication and engagement, to co-ordinate and encourage multi-agency support for asylum seekers and their integration into our society.

A Memorandum of Understanding is in place with Home Office to facilitate this and a small quantum of funding has been made available to the Department, by Home Office, to support delivery.
