To ask the Minister of Education (i) how the Education Authority (EA) tracks the number of non-teaching staff employed by the EA and schools; and (ii) how many non-teaching staff are employed by the EA and schools as at 29 February 2024.

The Education Authority (EA) has provided the following information:
The EA records new employees and leavers on a daily basis on the EA One system. The EA One system is the database from which the payroll is run and it records all non-teaching staff employed by position name, working location and grade.
The EA employs 40,763 non-teaching staff as at 29 February 2024.
