My officials have been working intensively over the summer and the Budget Sustainability Plan is now approaching completion.
Whilst it was initially due to be published by the end of August, the inability to engage with Treasury during the pre-election period meant that I was able to secure a short extension to the deadline with the Chief Secretary to the Treasury and I intend to bring it to the Executive for their agreement in the coming weeks.
