Answer

The Invest NI Review Action Plan was developed to deliver the profound change called for by the Independent Review Panel. Implementation of the Action Plan is progressing well with 17 actions already completed, including the introduction of new leadership.

Invest NI will play a key role in delivering my plan for regional balance and Promoting Places and Partnerships is one of the strategic priorities set out in the organisation’s draft Business Strategy 2024-27.

I have tasked Invest NI with delivering 65% of its investments outside the Belfast Metropolitan Area by the end of the Strategy period. To support this, Invest NI will increase its capacity and presence across the North, with staff resources deployed in the regions increasing by 40%, and the Regional Offices also leading on the delivery of a new Regional Property Programme.
