Answer
The Tourism Partnership Board is currently developing an innovative Action Plan which will include a range of interventions to grow our tourism offering over the next 10 years and contribute to the delivery of my Economic Vision. Once agreed by the Board, I will consider their recommendations, with a view to publishing a Tourism Vision and final Action Plan before the end of the year.
Addressing skills gaps and improving career pathways is crucial for sustainable growth in our tourism industry. My officials will continue to engage with the Tourism Partnership Board to support the ongoing skills needs within the industry and ensure it utilises the existing skills provision which contribute to upskilling for the industry, including:
Skill Up
Skills Focus,
InnovateUs,
Apprenticeships NI
Level 2 Traineeships and
Further Education courses
