Answer
My officials have been advised by the Further Education colleges that they employ robust and rigorous feedback processes. To provide a student-centred experience, colleges have in place established processes for capturing the student voice. This includes post induction survey, focus groups with students and pre-exit surveys.
Each programme will also elect a student representative who will be engaged with during each semester to capture the views of the student group. This feedback is reviewed by the programme team and used as part of the evaluation process.
Further to this, my Department conducts a Survey of Further Education College Leavers.
The 2022/23 survey shows that 94% of English for Speakers of Other Languages students were satisfied with their Further Education experience, compared to 92% for all Further Education leavers.
