To ask the Minister of Finance whether he will make administrative boundary Shapefiles, held by NISRA, of (i) 1985 and 1973 ward boundaries; (ii) 1985 and 1973 district electoral area boundaries; (iii) 1985 and 1973 local government district boundaries; (iv) 1995, 1982 and 1970 parliamentary constituencies; and (v) any other administrative boundaries, available to the public for free via Open Data NI and Spatial NI.

ANSWER
NISRA does not hold administrative boundary shapefiles for all the boundaries stated in the request but has access to the following relevant historic shapefiles:
1985 wards (labelled ‘wards1984’)
1985 local government district boundaries (labelled ‘dc84’)
1995 parliamentary constituencies (labelled ‘PC1995_region’)
Given the historic nature of these shapefiles and the undocumented data quality, NISRA does not plan to publish them on Open Data NI or Spatial NI. NISRA may release these files to individual requestors on request.
