Answer
There is no specific departmental policy stipulating that Health and Social Care Trusts are to take account of a family’s Disability Living Allowance or personal finances when deciding on the allocation of services for Children with Disabilities.
The assessment of support service need, and assessment of support service allocation for families who care for children with disability is based on an assessment of need / eligibility completed by the respective Health and Social Care Trust.
