Answer
The NI Enterprise Support Service, or “Go Succeed”, is funded by the British Government’s Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Growth (MHCLG) via its Shared Prosperity Fund (SPF). The SPF is due to end on 31 March 2026. When announcing its Spending Review on 11 June 2025, the British Government referred to the establishment of a ‘Local Growth fund’, which is the anticipated successor to the SPF. The Executive has agreed that the Department of Finance will lead on engaging with the British Government in relation to the Local Growth Fund. My officials continue to liaise with both the Department of Finance and MHCLG to seek further clarity and to understand how future funding for enterprise support might be delivered.
