To ask the Minister of Education whether the Education Authority has given any consideration to making use of Artificial Intelligence to assist with home to school transport planning.

The Education Authority (EA) has advised that it is currently exploring new technologies to improve and enhance route planning for school transport and communication with parents. Its transport service may introduce the use of generative Artificial Intelligence technology to assist with its back-office tasks related to route planning activities and to improve productivity.
