Answer
The Department has no role in determining or assessing the salaries of community pharmacists in Northern Ireland.
Community Pharmacies are privately owned businesses and while they operate under a contractual framework with the Health and Social Care (HSC) to provide services and dispense medicines, community pharmacy owners, pharmacists and other support staff working for them are not direct Health and Social Care (HSC) employees.
Community pharmacist salaries in Northern Ireland are determined by individual private employers.
