To ask the Minister of Education for clarification on how his Department understands the term early intervention.

My department’s understanding of the term early intervention is consistent with the definition in the Children and Young People’s Strategy, namely that it means “both intervening in the early years of children’s lives to give them the best start in life, and intervening early and as soon as possible to address problems that are emerging for children and young people at any point in their lives.”
