To ask the Minister of Education to detail (i) all current development proposals that relate to integrated schools, including proposals for transformation to integrated status; and (ii) the length of time each of these proposals have been awaiting a decision from the Education Authority or his Department.

The table below details the number of development proposals that relate to integrated schools, including proposals for transformation to integrated status and the date when the Statutory Objection Period ended.

As I am sure you are aware, no two proposals are the same and each proposal must be considered and assessed individually, taking account of all the pertinent information and legislation that applies. I have several proposals which require careful consideration.

I am aware of the importance of providing clarity to the proposers and the schools that are subject of proposals and in that respect, I will not seek to delay my determination any longer than is necessary.

You will appreciate that I cannot comment individually on any proposal which has not yet come before me for a decision.
