AQW 11868/22-27 Written question to the Minister of Education

To ask the Minister of Education for a breakdown of (i) all meetings of the Childcare Affordability Scheme Task and Finish Group; and (ii) all bilateral meetings that have taken place between the Department of Education and officials from other departments in relation to childcare that have taken place since the restoration of the Executive in February 2024.

Answer

The Task and Finish Group met on 27 March and 24 April. The next meeting is scheduled for 5 June. Additional bi-lateral engagement (not all in meeting format) has taken place between my officials and DoH, DfE, DfC, DoF, DAERA and NISRA.

I hope to bring proposals to the Executive in the coming days.
