To ask the Assembly Commission to detail any engagement it has had with the Office of the Chief Scientific and Technology Advisor in relation to its Artificial Intelligence working group.

As the specific focus of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Working Group is on the use of AI in the Assembly Commission’s work to support the Assembly and the AI Working Group is developing its terms of reference, the Assembly Commission has not contacted the Office of the Chief Scientific and Technology Advisor in relation to the AI Working Group.

While the Assembly Commission is mindful of its independence from the Executive and the Northern Ireland Civil Service, it will of course take account of wider government guidance in relation to AI as the work of the AI Working Group proceeds.
