Answer

My Department currently has no plans to upgrade the Four Winds Roundabout, however, planning approvals for two major residential developments in the area require the developers to undertake improvement works at Four Winds roundabout before occupation of 90 residential units across the two development sites.

Currently my officials are working with the developers and their consultants to ensure the necessary improvements are designed to the required standards and the appropriate licences are in place to facilitate the work.

The scheme, when completed, will see the road widened to provide an extra running lane on all four approaches to the roundabout, enhanced pedestrian facilities, new footways and road signage.

As this is a developer led scheme, time scales for delivery are outside of the control of my Department, however, it is anticipated that these works will commence in the summer of 2026.
