Answer
My Department acts as a statutory consultee in the planning process and considers the transport implications of each residential development application. Applicants are required to submit a Transport Assessment Form and, where the scale or nature of the proposed development warrants it, a full Transport Assessment.
This assessment process includes appropriate junction modelling to demonstrate that the development’s impact on the surrounding road network is acceptable to the Department. Accordingly, the operation and capacity of the Primrose Hill junction have been assessed in relation to each relevant planning application identified as having a potential impact at that location.
