Answer
There are a total of 143 staff employed in DfI Roads Eastern Division, undertaking both Professional and Technical and administrative roles.
| Professional & Technical | Administrative | |
| Number of Staff | 111 | 32 |
The professional and technical staff are both civil and electrical engineers undertaking work within the division such as road maintenance, traffic management, development control, street lighting, delivery of minor works, collision remedial schemes, and operation of the Traffic Information and Control Centre.
Administrative staff undertake back office functions such as lands searches, acquisitions and abandonments, and provide support to the civil and electrical engineering teams.
It is important to note that many of the staff employed are in part time and job share roles. The total number of staff employed is therefore greater than the Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) staffing number.
